Keitt

The Keitt is the heaviest, plumpest and largest commercial mango variety which is available, remaining green when ripe, with only a very faint yellow or rose blush. The yellow-gold flesh is juicy, fibreless except close to the seed. Light in aroma, it has a full flavour, with pronounced lemony tang and a medium sweet flavor.

Keitt originated in Florida as an open pollinated seedling of Mulgoba, which was first selected in 1939. Keitt is grown commercially in many mango exporting countries.
