Pacific Rose
Largish fruit with rosy pink to bright red thin outer skin. Its crunchy bite reveals lots of juice and it has a deliciously sweet flavour. Its white flesh does not brown easily, but keeps its color well. Best eaten fresh or used in salads.
A variety of apple from the rose apple family that originated in the East Indies and Malaysia. It has been bred in New Zealand by crossing Gala and Splendour families.
