Taylors Gold
Large, round, golden to bronze-colored pears. Taylors Gold has the russet color of a pale Bosc and the same sweet, buttery flavour as a Comice. Extremely juicy and sweet. Lightly perfumed. They taste best when they turn golden yellow.
Most likely a natural mutation of the Comice pear, with similar characteristics, although also claimed to be a cross between Comice and Beurre Bosc
