Hi, I'm Cristian Bueno and I grow organic kiwi's in Chile for Nature & More. My farm, El Torreon is located in the green heart of Chile close to Chillan, about 450 km south of Santiago. The total area of the farm is 500 ha, of which almost 100 ha are designated natural reserve -  corridors and protected areas.

The first fruit tree on the land of El Torreon was planted in 1969. Since then, agricultural practices have been improved, continually laying the groundwork for  the next steps. The farm produces various fruit such as kiwi, apples, and blueberries. Barley and corn have been planted. Kiwi production was converted to organic in 2007, and blueberries followed in 2009.

One motivation for converting to organic methods was to improve the environment and quality of life of the village of El Torreon, which is enclosed by the farm. Most of the villagers are employed on the farm and El Torreon is always looking for ways to offer  maximum  stable employment.  The El Torreon Farm  also invests in  the general well-being of the community.
