The dry savannah in which BioExotica is located does not thrive with mammals as it provides little food and shelter for them.  But of course, the plantation has its share of ground squirrels, scorpions and snakes.  These do not pose any danger to the crops and the people in the area have learned to live with them.  To provide some kind of protection for other smaller animals, BioExotica has prohibited any kind of hunting or trapping within the farm boundaries to create a safe habitat for the local fauna.
