It is great to see that more and more consumers around the world are seeing the many advantages of organic agriculture and are electing the organic alternative.  Logically the increase in demand is leading to more suppliers but many potential organic growers are still sceptical.  It is therefore of great importance that these growers come into contact with their organic counterparts to learn as much as possible about the challenges and rewards.  Although some argue that you are ‘training your future competition’ many Nature & More growers see the bigger picture and are actively promoting the virtues of organic growing and ‘spreading the word’! José Hidalgo regularly welcomes groups of interested students from the University of Santiago.  “They come to my farm to learn about organic. I think there is a lot of interest, but not all of them have an opportunity to practice organic agriculture later because hardly any of them own a farm. Here in Chile this is a problem: those who own the land are not yet interested in organic and those who are enthusiastic about organic don't own the land. That needs to be changed!
