Hi, my name is André Spangenberg and I grow organic oranges and grapefruits at Groenheuwel, in the north west of South Africa, together with my wife Madeline. We want to say Baie Dankie, that means “thank you”, for buying our organic citrus fruits. My name is André Spangenberg and I grow organic oranges and grapefruits at Groenheuwel, in the north west of South Africa, together with my wife Madeline. We want to say Baie Dankie, that means “thank you”, for buying our organic citrus fruits. Not only have you selected a delicious healthy product, but you are also directly supporting a soccer project that we have set up with our workers! Let me explain: here at the farm our employees are fanatic about soccer and we currently have four farm teams. Last year, together with our customers in Europe, we raised € 6084,- which was used to fund a brand new soccer field and outfits for the teams. This year we will use the funds to build a clubhouse! For every kilo of fruit sold, 1 cent goes to the new clubhouse, so we say Baie Dankie once more, on behalf of everyone here at Groenheuwel.
