In 2007, the company set up a biodiversity programme for the area focussing on protecting and enhancing the local flora including protection and planting programmes of the local Shea Tree, ensuring certain areas do not undergo the slash and burn, boundary plantations etc. All these steps have a positive knock on effect on the local wildlife.
Furthemore, since organic farmers are prohibited from using agro chemicals, the local fauna is not negatively effected by such unnatural materials in the ecosystem.
