dia IMG_164.JPGITFC provides fair wages, according to the government of Ghana minimum wage recommendation for first time staff. Upon completion of one year of service that wage is re-evaluated and appropriately adjusted according to current times and work performance. ITFC also affords all permanent staff members registration for the National Health Insurance Scheme as well as one spouse and their children. In additional to the NHIS coverage provided, ITFC has agreed with the staff that for every amount the staff contributes to a health fund, ITFC matches that amount. The health fund is managed by a committee selected by the staff and covers health care costs above and beyond those met by the National Health Insurance Scheme. This fund has been in existence for one year now.
ITFC is also committed to educating all employees in the aspects of health and hygiene with special attention being paid to the issue of Hiv/ AIDS. ITFC has an Hiv/ AIDS policy which provides all staff the opportunity to voluntarily test every 6 months and provides funds for all costs associated with treatment of Hiv/ AIDS. The policy has been in effect for more than 3 years and the staff participation has reached above 80%. ITFC also hosts its staff each year at an hiv/ AIDs day where the various departments compete using their knowledge of hiv/AIDS.
