Solidarity

An important key performance Indicator for solidarity is ensuring a safe and respectful working conditions for the employees.  This is very important to all NZ Organic growers.

You know, many young people come to New Zealand from all over the world for their OE’s (Overseas Experience). Most of them are young and willing to work. They help me out with the pruning of the trees and picking of the apples. During these limited, but very busy times in the year, they can earn enough money to finance their trip. I enjoy meeting people from many different cultures. When we get together after work at the barbecue, we have always interesting and challenging discussions. Some of them maintain friendships for years and we even had a couple who got married after they met on my farm”
