The favourite tree of the Mapuche indians

Nancagua  has several stretches of land where nature is more or less free to develop. These area’s strengthen the vitality of the whole enterprise, by enriching the biodiversity. Eduardo has done a special project with an indigenous Chilean plant, the soap bark tree or Quillaja Saponaria. The Mapuche, the indigenous people from this region, already used this tree to treat respiratory sickness and skin diseases of children. Eduardo is now using the trees as a windbreaker and to reforest some of the lands.
