In an effort to assist subsistance growers in the Piura region, Sunshine has invested a lot in capacity building.  Sunshine has conducted many different training courses ranging from 'converting to organic agriculture- general’,  to 'organic mango management',  to 'management of microorganisms in the soil’ in particular.  These workshops are usually conducted in small groups of people who live in close proximity to each other.  Many of these workshops have been documented and Sunshine has developed leaftlets and brochures that serve as reference material about a wide variety of  subjects.  Sunshine also employs a full-time agronomist to respond to the growers' questions – if and when the need arises.

All these investments have been made by Sunshine to enable their growers to be better stewards of the land and grow a better crop in terms of quality and yield.  Sunshine even went as far as to organize the harvesting on behalf of the growers, because it is almost impossible for individual growers to contract harvest crews at the right time to ensure optimum ripeness.
