Great intensity of flavour this year!
This summer we can expect very tasty berries
Ronald’s blueberries grow on wet, acidic peaty soil. That’s ideal for this crop and therefore little inputs are needed. The peat layers in the soil act as a kind of sponge, so irrigation is unnecessary. The berry plants draw their water from deep layers. This results in a more intense taste than berries that are watered at the surface. This summer we can expect really tasty berries: there was very little rainfall and a lot of sunshine during Dutch springtime, which will give more intensity to the taste.
