I appreciate the quality of your fruit, but I deeply resent that your fruit should have stickers, because they are so difficult to get off.  I consider it un-sustainable to glue stickers on fruit, especially when it is organic or fairtrade.  It is quite unnecessary for us consumers and I wish you would stop this practice.

Yours sincerely

Susanne Wahlbeck

We appreciate Mrs Wahlbeck's concern when it comes to the labeling of organic fruit.  However, we have to follow the law.  According to Commission Regulation (EC) No. 889/2008 Article 35 "Organic products
shall be clearly identifiable at all times".

In addition to just complying with this legal requirement, we want to go one step further.  Nature & More is dedicated to make the supply change fully transparent.  This means that we want to provide consumers with access to the growers who actually grow their food.  For this reason we have devised a "trace & tell" system whereby you can meet the grower on our website by a special "access code" which you find on the label of each piece of fruit.

We believe that doing the right thing and talking about it, will empower consumers so that they can decide which products are worth buying.  Consumers can thus support growers who are actively contributing to a better environment.  We feel that this form of economic democracy far outweighs the unhappy effects of the little sticker on the fruit (which - by-the-way- complies with all the food safety standards).
