Goal: Animal Welfare, natural habitats and wildlife diversity Animals suffer almost immediately when their habitat is disrupted. Given the pace at which habitats are being destroyed, it is evident that extinction of species is accelerating.
In the “animals” part of the flower we tell you how the grower supports wild biodiversity around the farm. Most of our growers don’t work with animals, so the welfare of farm animals is not really an issue. But the welfare of insects, birds, mammals and – not to forget – small organisms in the soil, is! All these creatures are tremendously important to create a healthy and balanced farm environment. Biodiversity is the keyword to control pests and diseases. Organic farming is the most animal friendly farming method, for domestic as well as wild creatures.
