Ingredients

1 ripe avocado

2 slices bread (sourdough or wholegrain)

1 tsp lemon juice (or lime juice)

1 tbsp olive oil (optional)

Optional toppings: chili flakes, cherry tomatoes, sesame seeds, fresh herbs
Method

Toast the bread: Toast the bread until golden and crisp.

Mash the avocado: Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit and scoop out the flesh. Mash with a fork.

Season: Stir in lemon juice, salt, pepper (and olive oil if you like it extra smooth).
