Air Fryer Garlic Bread

Quick, crispy and garlicky, this air fryer garlic bread is perfect as a snack, side or addition to pasta and soups.

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette or crusty bread loaf

  • 60 g unsalted butter, softened

  • 3–4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped

  • Pinch of salt

  • Optional: grated Parmesan or chilli flakes

Method

  1. Prep bread: Slice the baguette into 2–3 cm thick slices, without cutting all the way through if you want pull-apart style.

  2. Make garlic butter: In a small bowl, mix softened butter with minced garlic, parsley and salt.

  3. Spread: Spread the garlic butter generously over each slice of bread.

  4. Air fry: Place the bread in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook at 180°C for 5–6 minutes, until golden and crispy.

  5. Serve: Sprinkle with Parmesan or chilli flakes if desired, and serve warm.

A rich, velvety garlic sauce that pairs beautifully with pasta, roasted veggies, chicken or as a dip for bread and potatoes.

Ingredients

  • 4–6 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • 240 ml milk

  • 120 ml heavy cream (optional for extra richness)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • Optional: fresh parsley or basil

Method

  1. Melt butter: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

  2. Make roux: Sprinkle flour over the butter and garlic, stirring constantly to form a paste (roux). Cook 1 minute.

  3. Add liquids: Gradually whisk in milk and cream until smooth.

  4. Thicken: Bring to a gentle simmer, whisking often, until the sauce thickens (4–6 minutes).

  5. Season: Season with salt and pepper.

  6. Serve: Remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley or basil if you like. Serve over pasta, veggies or proteins.
