These baked pears are tender and fragrant, sweetened with brown sugar, warm cinnamon and crunchy walnuts — a cosy dessert that’s easy to make and perfect served with cream or yoghurt.
Ingredients

4 ripe pears, halved and cored

60 g brown sugar

1 tsp ground cinnamon

60 g walnuts, chopped

1–2 tbsp melted butter or olive oil

Optional: honey or maple syrup

Optional: vanilla ice cream or whipped cream (for serving)
Method

Preheat: Heat oven to 180°C.

Prep pears: Place pear halves in a baking dish, cut-side up.

Mix topping: In a bowl combine brown sugar, cinnamon and chopped walnuts.

Assemble: Drizzle pears with melted butter or olive oil, then spoon the sugar-nut mix over each pear half.

Bake: Bake 20–25 minutes until pears are tender and the topping is golden.

Serve: Drizzle with honey or maple syrup if you like, and serve warm with ice cream or cream.
