Grilling brings out the natural sugars in peaches and adds a subtle smoky char — delicious on its own or alongside ice cream, yoghurt or savoury mains.
Ingredients

4 ripe peaches, halved and pitted

2–3 tbsp olive oil or melted butter

2–3 tsp honey or maple syrup

Optional: pinch of cinnamon or sea salt

Optional garnishes: fresh mint, Greek yoghurt, vanilla ice cream
Method

Heat grill: Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.

Prep peaches: Brush cut-side of peach halves with olive oil or melted butter.

Grill: Place peaches cut-side down and cook 3–4 minutes until grill marks form. Flip and grill another 3–4 minutes until tender.

Sweeten: Drizzle with honey or maple syrup and sprinkle with cinnamon or salt if you like.

Serve: Serve warm with mint, yoghurt or ice cream.
