This sweet corn dish brings sweet, crisp kernels together with a bold black pepper sauce — quick, vibrant and full of flavour.
Ingredients

4 ears sweet corn, kernels cut off (about 4 cups)

1 tbsp olive oil or butter

2 garlic cloves, minced

1–2 tbsp soy sauce

1–2 tsp freshly ground black pepper

1 tbsp water

Optional: pinch of chilli flakes

Optional garnish: chopped parsley or spring onions
Method

Prep kernels: Cut sweet corn kernels off the cob and set aside.

Heat pan: Warm olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

Cook garlic & corn: Add minced garlic and corn kernels and cook 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add sauce: Stir in soy sauce, water and plenty of black pepper (plus chilli flakes if using).

Finish: Cook 3–5 minutes more until the sauce coats the corn and flavours are well absorbed.

Serve: Transfer to a bowl, garnish with parsley or spring onions, and serve warm.
