Hallo, ik ben Ilenia Nordera uit Italië en ik teel biologische appels, peren, kiwi's en pompoenen voor Nature & More. Hartelijk dank voor het kopen van onze groente en fruit! Onze coöperatie, Bionorde, vertegenwoordigt een groep biologische groente- en fruittelers in de omgeving van Verona.

Hallo, ik ben Ilenia Nordera en ik teel kiwi's pompoenen, peren en appel in Noord Italië, samen met telersgroep Bionorde. Bionorde vertegenwoordigt een groep biologische groente en fruittelers uit de omgeving van Verona hier in Italië! Het idee achter Bionorde is dat we met vereende krachten beter in staat zijn om onze producten te verkopen en de behoeftes van de moderne consument te vervullen. 

In the year 2000, heb ik samen met mijn vader Flavio, broer Daniele and my tante Franca onze eigen biologische boerderij opgericht. Vandaag de dag hebben we een areaal van 15 hectare dat in vier delen is opgesplitst. Op twee ervan kweken we jonge planten en bomen; op het overige land telen we allerlei rassen biologische appels en peren en daarnaast ook perziken, kiwi's en pompoenen. Onze boerderij heeft een eigen pakhuis waar we onze mooie producten selecteren, schoonaken, behandelen, inpakken, koelen en opslaan.

In 2003 hebben we ook Bionorde opgericht, samen met mijn vader Flavio en mijn nicht Chiara. Met Bionorde kunnen we een breed assortiment aan biologisch fruit en groente van hoge kwaliteit leveren. Het idee achter Bionorde is dat we met vereende krachten beter in staat zijn om onze producten te verkopen en de behoeftes van de moderne consument te vervullen. Wij willen de hele wereld laten kennismaken met de mooie biologische producten uit de omgeving van Verona!

N&M: Wat is het idee achter Bionorde?
Ilenia: In de eerste plaats willen we graag nieuwe, interessante en vergeten rassen van biologische appels, peren, kiwi's, perziken en pompoenen on der de aandacht brengen. We hebben onder andere met succes de appelrassen Royal Gal, Tenroy, Delbar Estival, Delcorf, Festival en Delorgoue in Italië geïntroduceerd.

N&M: Waarom die fascinatie voor bijzondere rassen?
Flavio: Ik werk al mijn hele leven met fruit en plantenkwekerijen en heb altijd geëxperimenteerd met resistente rassen. Mijn passie en de behoefte van de consument aan variatie zijn twee belangrijke redenen om deze weg te bewandelen. 

N&M: Hoe verloopt de samenwerking met de andere locale telers?
Flavio: Mijn collegatelers zie ik vooral als vrienden; we helpen elkaar met technische bijstand en advies over het aanplanten, oogsten en het gezond houden van de gewassen. We willen de biologische landbouw in de buurt van Verona graag naar een hoger plan tillen. En samen is het makkelijk om het papierwerk en de certificatie te regelen en op orde te houden.
